"Just a musician trying to have a good time."
At a young age, Andrew M Johnson became strongly passionate of the concept of creation. Most of his time was spent drawing and finding ways to create works he would call his own. When he joined a band class in the public school system, he would discover that one can create music. Eager to learn, Johnson would find ways through different programs and tools to write music that he could hear himself. After enough trial and error, the composition, "The Land of Bread" was fabricated during his late high school years. Johnson would write music for varying instrumentations of low brass performers such as trombones, euphoniums, and tubas. It was through this experimentation that his other passion was discovered.

Through teaching his music to his peers, Johnson found a passion in education. The desire to bring others joy through music overtook his soul search. He would then attend Virginia Commonwealth University for Instrumental Music Education in 2017. Here Johnson would work with the likes of: Ross Walter, Antonio Garcia, Rex Richardson, Jeff Hudson, Taylor Barnett, Terry Austin, Steven Cunningham, Toby Whitaker, David Greenagel, Sandy Goldie, and many others.
